Pre-Christmas rambling

Well, folks, it's that time of year again: Christmas card writing and mailing, cookie making and present wrapping. Busy, busy, busy. The two of us wish all of you a merry, merry Christmas, full of good cheer and warm family/friend gatherings...and, make some moments to relax, take a few deep breaths, and soak up all the warm feelings that are floating around out there. They're good for the soul! And, we may need them later on in the new year when life gets overbearing! We'll be on the road again come 23 December...going south to try to avoid some of this cold weather!...and, of course, to visit with some of our "southern" friends. We'll be spending Christmas with Maggie and her husband...and, then be on our way. We'll be keeping you posted as we go along. New Year's Eve with friends at Kings Bay, GA.

  1. Hi Guys -- I thought of you the other day when the weather report said it was 68 in Orlando. Where are you?

Our meeting is tomorrow -- my idea to have a secret competition with Claudia to see who could get the most signups backfired -- she has 2 (both of which also signed upfor mine) and I have 17!

Yesterday, one of the guys who went to Montana last fall came in the shop. He lives in a restored, added-on-to log cabin in Hanover. He and his wife were putting in a new heating/cooling system when he was in Montana. I asked him about it -- it's geothremal. He said it was fabulous -- every room is the same temp, and no drafts. It took three units to serve the entire property, and it cost over $30,000, but he says his energy savings will recopu that in 6 or 7 years. Anyway, I thought about Windmill Run when he was describing the house and thought I'd see what you're up to. Looks like you're having a great time, cause you sure aren't updating the blog!

Oops, looks like I have to be anonymous, since I don't have a Google accoutn yet. I guess I'll go get one! You know who I am anyway, Whacky Kathy!
